    Almost all cars …
    Almost all cars since 2000 have a pressurized coolant reservoir. GM cars and trucks have an orange color and some Japanese cars even have a black or brown color. I would use a chemical test on the coolant.

    As for the color of the oil, this is not the only indicator of the health of the engine. The oil in mine when I bought it was fairly clean, but the engine failed in less than six months (@ 48,000 miles).
