How do you obtain a license to sell used vehicles in Florida?

Actually you do not need a license.

It is legal to buy as many cars as you want as long as you pay the sales tax on each one and the tittle goes through your name.

To be a used car dealer does require a license from the local city and the insurance involved is very expensive.

I heard to get a license plate called a dealer plate that will be legal and insure any vehicle and is transferable (a must for a dealer( that this costs around $30,000.00

Is the cash for clunkers program hurting the poor by getting rid of good used vehicles?

Should the government donate some of these good used cars to provide the poor with reliable transportation so that they can go to work?

Yes…..the " cash for clunkers " program is nothing more than a cheap parlor trick designed to draw attention away from the fact that all of Obama’s programs are actually economic failures.

The " cash for clunkers " program benefits no one other than to help some dealers sell some new cars to some buyers who ditched a good used car to buy a certain model new car that our President dictated that they buy.

why are used vehicles being sold like crazy now?

just wondering why used vehicles especially trucks are being sold like crazy now since the goverment has started the cars for clunkers thing?

Since the economic downturn people may be out of work, but still need transportation. So their only choice is a used car.
Others needed a vehicle,but were afraid of losing job or getting hours or pay cut. So they spent less money buying a used car instead of a new one.
now a few months into the ecession, all the good used cars have been bought up .
Next best choice for transportation without buying a new vehicle? A used pickup truck.
Some used car lots where i live have an inventory of almost all pickups.

Only going to get worse as the cash for clunkers is taking a lot of good vehicles off the road permanently.
Used car and truck prices are already rising – per my sources there has been a15-30% rise in wholesale prices, but retail is lagging behind.

My mother wants us to get dad a GPS Navigation device for Christmas, but I would be more comfortable with an Onstar-like system, even if he has to push a button, as he is getting older. Does anyone know if there is a system like this available to install on a non-GM vehicle? or anything else suitable for seniors?
