Whats a good site to view used cars by owners?

I’m looking for a good site i can go to, to view listings of used cars in my area for low prices and are being sold by the owner. Have any suggestions?

What are the best used cars to buy, considering parts prices, fuel effiency and general maintenance?

I have an older Pontiac Firefly… i’ve heard that the model is no longer being made, but what are some good used cars (year 2000 or younger) in comparison with the ones you general find of that year.

My brother had a Honda Accord, and he recommended that company. It’s the type of car that I’m looking for, considering price range. Any more suggestions?
Any specific makes too? Or personal preferences?

Hondas and Toyotas are great choices for used cars but you will pay for them. Honda has the highest resale value of the major car manufacturers and has held this distinction for years. But you seldom see good prices on the used car market because of their high resale value and demand. this goes for Toyota as well. In other words, it’s more cost effective to buy Hondas and Toyotas new and not used.

There are so many cars on the market that it is hard to narrow the list to 2-3 choices. The best thing to do is buy the current issue of Consumer Reports. this is their annual car issue where they discuss trends in market, new cars, used cars, etc. They have a number of pages dedicated to the used car market and the best used cars. Consumer Reports does a nice job of analyzing reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, etc. geared toward the average consumer.

How much do decent used cars cost?

I’ll be 16 soon, and I currently have a job. My parents will pay for half of my car, how much are nice used cars such as toyotas or hondas?

You can find a wide array of used cars for a very cheap price. The only thing is that they may not run. It can be a pain to buy a car from a dealer because they are doing their best to swindle you out of hard earned cash. I would suggest trying a website like GovernmentAuctions.org They have a pretty lengthy list of police seized and government surplus cars that are better than your average used car. You can also see the bids that cars are going for, and base your judgments on that.

What are good websites with user reviews on used cars?

I am going to buy a used car made between year 2000 to 2004. I checked Edmunds.com, which has some user reviews, but not many. Is there another website what has more user reviews than edmunds.com? Yahoo Auto only has reviews for new cars. i am looking for reviews on the model made before 2004.

I would check out the car forums for the cars that you want to buy.

What is the state limit for the number of used cars a non-dealer can buy and sell in California?

Hello. My dad and I are deciding whether or not we want to start a business. We want to sell used cars but do not know at what number we are required to be a dealer. Please help…thanks!

I believe anything above 2 or 3 cars/ yr requires a dealers license. The dealers license is not difficult or expensive to get.
