What is the biggest thing you hate about car dealerships and the car buying experience?
I’m trying to get a good idea together for a presentation, and I was wondering what things were really the biggest turnoffs about car dealerships. I think I would know of a few, but I’m curious as to what you would have to say.
The thing I hate about the whole buying process is when the buyer lies to the salesman. If you were on the other side of the desk you would understand. Next time you buy a car just tell the salesperson nicely that you want a good deal. Ask to see the invoice and the program sheets. or check edmunds before you go. Pay invoice or a hundred dollars over invoice. That is fair. When we sell a vehicle at invoice we only make a couple of hundred dollars honestly. I can say about our dealership I share the same concerns as you do. Our goal is to get you in and out of the finance dept. as FAST as we can. Our employers pay us on CSI customer satisfaction index. We also get paid on volume not gross profit. Not every dealership is like ours. There is bad in everyone. There are some good dealers out there.
Can you show me how car financing calculations are done?
Example: $12,000 car financed at x% interest. Can you show me an actual calculation of how much the monthly payment will be and how many payments are to be made and what the interest is etc, etc?
just google amortization. it is a fairly lengthy calculation on a scientific calculator (at least for me). the 1st site makes it easy. but I’m sure there are others that show you the exact steps by which the calculation is achieved.
Anyone know of online Auto Financing sites?
I have a small dealership, 10-12 cars. I do not want to deal with the hassle of going through in-house financing. I know there are many sites that advertise auto loans, but the majority of them just refer people to a dealer who buys the leads. What I need are sources to refer my customers to obtain their own financing. Most of them have marginal to bad credit. What would be ideal is a site where I can sit the customer down, have them put in their information, and get a decision quickly, and a check sent to either me or the customer. Does anyone know of any sub-prime lenders who give online approvals?

Are car dealerships allowed to sell used vehicles with cracked or chipped winshields?
I bought a used vehicle from a dealership in Washington and the vehicle and the windshield had a chip in it. Five days later the chip has turned to a large crack and I have to get it replaced now. Do you think the Dealer should help me out on this?
Sorry but no… Used vehicles are sold "As Is". Some dealerships will give you 48 to 72 hours if anything major goes wrong, but thats about it.
Do auto dealers have to title/register their vehicles in the lot?
I was just curious as to whether or not auto dealers must title or register the vehicles that they sell on the lot. If so, how long do they have to do so?

I am looking for a rear spoiler/wing fora 1996 chevy s10 pickup truck. It comes in three parts so that the tailgate can still be lowered leaving a piece on either side of the truck and a piece on the lowered tailgate. Does anyone know where this could be found?
